Lasi Tariloni

My name is La’atianna (Lasi) Tariloni, I am Ni-Vanuatu born and bred with maternal links to Solomon Islands.
I joined the VSA whanau in October 2022, VSA has broadened my understanding of volunteering in the international development space and awareness of challenges and gaps within Vanuatu.
I strive to live by the Golden Rule “Do to others what you want others to do to you” so as much as I enjoy learning and teaching what I know to help others, the essence of VSA is capacity building, so seeing the impact the volunteers have on the partner organizations, local counterparts and then tripling effect into the communities has been fulfilling for me in my VSA journey.
I am studying part time with the University of the South Pacific, pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Human Resource Relations & Employment Relations and Accounting. In my downtime I enjoy reading mystery novels and love to bake and paint.
